VDOT Traffic Alerts for Frederick County, August 30-September 3, 2010

FREDERICK COUNTY
Interstate 81
* Mile marker 300 to 324, northbound and southbound – Debris removal, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Mile marker 300 to 313, northbound and southbound – Drain cleaning and inspection, Tuesday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Mile marker 313, northbound and southbound – Litter pick up at ramps, Monday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Primary Roads
* Route 7 – Traffic signal reconstruction at intersection of I-81 northbound ramp. Intermittent flagger traffic control, Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Estimated completion is Sept. 9.
* Route 277 (Fairfax Pike) – Shoulder widening operations from Route 522 to Route 11. Flagger traffic control, Sunday night to Thursday morning, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Estimated completion is Sept. 10.
* (UPDATE) Route 277 – Traffic signal modifications at intersection of Route 641. Intermittent flagger traffic control, Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Estimated completion is Aug. 31. UPDATE: The traffic signal will be deactivated for signal work Aug. 29, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flagger traffic control will be used during this period.
* Route 277 (Fairfax Pike) – Paving from Route 11 to Route 522, Sunday to Thursday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Flagger traffic control. Estimated completion is Sept. 10.
* (NEW) Various roads – Mowing.

Secondary Roads
* (NEW) Route 600 – Surface treatment operations. Flagger traffic control, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Estimated completion is Sept. 3.
* (NEW) Route 608 – Surface treatment operations. Flagger traffic control, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Estimated completion is Sept. 3.
* (NEW) Route 803 – Surface treatment operations. Flagger traffic control, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Estimated completion is Sept. 3.
* (NEW) Various roads – Mowing and patching.
