Obituary for Pearl Austin

Pearl Yvonne Austin, 72, of Winchester, died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center.

She was born on Christmas Day December 25, 1938 in Frederick County, VA, the daughter of Henry W. and Margaret E. Elliott Boyce. She was a school bus driver for Frederick County Schools and then was a certified nursing assistant for Westminster Canterbury. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose #1283 and also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles#824.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Stinson of Winchester; her brother, Henry M. Boyce of Winchester and four grandchildren, Paige Austin, Deanna Austin, Leah Barrett and Leland Austin.

A son, James F. Austin, Jr., a sister, Joann E. Hawkins and a brother, Carl W. Boyce all preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, April 26, 2011 from 7-9:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Farrell officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hawkins, Jr., Jason Hawkins, Christopher Hawkins, Jason Gray, Charles Meadows and Daniel Hatten.
