Obituary for Norman Louden

Norman Burwell Louden, 79, of Middletown, VA, died, Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.

He was born February 18, 1931 in Shepherdstown, WV; the son of Norman S. and Trilby Heishman Louden. He never married. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and trained to go to Vietnam. He lived for 30 years in Winchester, VA. He worked a few years at Rockingham Poultry. He was a good carpenter and retired from Howard Shockey & Sons. He was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge from the age of 21 until 2009. He was baptized at the Calvary Church of the Brethren by Pastor Clarence Davis, Jr. on June 3, 2007.

Norman loved music and played guitar and also enjoyed his guns. He loved his dogs who preceded him in death.

He is survived by many friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Shenandoah Memorial Park with Pastor Clarence Davis, Jr. officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2123.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
