Obituary for Helen Snapp
Helen Madigan Snapp, 71, of Winchester, VA, died, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her residence.
She was born October 3, 1938 in Winchester, the daughter of Earl and Eloise Taylor Madigan. She was a graduate of Handley High School, Class of 1957. She was a sales clerk at McCrory Corp on Loudoun Mall until her retirement in 1995 and she was a babysitter from 1986-2003 for twenty children over the years. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. She was known to her friends who rode with her on the Winchester Transit System as “Bag Lady”.
She is survived by a son, Dwayne Keith Snapp of Winchester; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Snapp of North Carolina; three brothers, Earl Madigan, Jr., Phillip Terry Madigan and Gary Lee Madigan all of the Winchester Frederick County area and three grandsons, Justin Bayliss, Ryan Mobley and Derrick Mobley.
A brother, Randolph Lorenzo Madigan preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Mt Hebron Cemetery with Rev. Kitty Hahn-Campanella officiating
via Jones Funeral Home.
