Obituary for Charles Mason
Charles Stanley Mason, 57, of Winchester, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was born January 3, 1953 in Frederick County, VA; the son of Clayton Albert Mason and Mary Hazel Parill Mason. He was a certified fork lift operator with Winchester Cold Storage. He attended the Salvation Army Church. He was a stay at home Pop Pop and took such good care of his grandchildren, Kayla and Jordan, who lived with him.
He married Patricia May Mason on March 25, 1972 in Winchester.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles Lee Mason of Woodstock, VA; two sisters, Faye Wolfe and her husband, Marlin of Laurelville, OH and Joann Fuller of Winchester and seven grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jordan, Trenton, Ben, Emileigh, Kayla and Zach. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Renee Mason and six brothers.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester with Rev. Hartley Wigfield officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Frederick County.
Pallbearers will be Wade Moore, Larry Wallace, David Wallace, David Wallace, Jr., Glenn Kerns, and Mark Yost.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
