Obituary for Burton Lee “Burt” Williams Jr.

Burton Lee “Burt” Williams, Jr., 52, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Williams was born in 1957, in Winchester, Virginia the son of Burton Lee and Rebecca Williams, Sr., of Gore, Virginia. He was a sheet metal worker for Richard King Heating & Air for the past 13 years, prior to that he was employed with Henkle Harris as an assembler. Mr. Williams was a member of Winchester Eagles Aerie 824 and attended James Wood High School, Class of 1976.

He married Teresa Foltz on June 28, 1986, in Winchester, Virginia.

Burt never knew a stranger and had friends everywhere he went. He was a good man and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Surviving with his parents and his wife are his sisters, Debbie Whitacre and husband, Dale, of Gore, Virginia, Pam Farmer and husband, Bill of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Dale Knupp and wife, Nancy, of LaPlayta, Maryland, Galen Knupp and wife, Jeri, of Mendenhall, Mississippi; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Tim Butler officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-9:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia 22602.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Memory of Burt, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, Virginia 22601
