Free Count Down Event for Cal Ripken World Series
To start the count down to the 2011 Cal Ripken 10-Year-Old World Series, the Winchester Parks & Recreation Department is excited to bring this free community event to Yost Field site of the 2011 World Series August 13, 2010 from 6:00-10:00 pm. The World Series Kickoff Celebration is presented by Chick-fil-A.
NOTE: The World Series tournament will be held August 13-20, 2011 on Yost Field in Jim Barnett Park with a banquet and opening ceremonies event being held prior to the tournament.
Kickoff Celebration Activities Include:
• 6:00-10:00 pm – Many inflatables and games for kids of all ages
• 6:00-10:00 pm – Great food Chick-fil-A, kettle corn, pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, icecream, etc.
• 6:15 pm – 11-year-old baseball game
• 8:00 pm – Outdoor concert by local recording artist, Amanda Mackintosh
