Fire at Charles Town Races
A massive fire has completely destroyed three barns at Charles Town Races. As many as 2 dozen horses may have been killed. The fire broke out at approx. 5:00AM Monday morning. The stables that burned are not owned by Charles Town Races. Firefighters remained on the scene this morning applying foam and water to the smoking remains of the barn. An employee of Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races and a firefighter were transported to Jefferson Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
