Community Response Team Makes Presentation to Fredericksburg

July 28, 2010 by admin

Representatives from the Community Response Team (CRT) were invited to share their program strategies and success stories with the City of Fredericksburg on July 21, 2010.

City staff, including Police Lt. Stotlemyer, Tax Field Auditor Brenda Fristoe, and Zoning and Inspections Administrator Vincent Diem met with representatives from various departments of the Fredericksburg government organization.  The presentation generated a great deal of interest in our current program and featured innovative strategies dealing with neighborhood crime, property maintenance, graffiti, business license and tax violations, and illegal uses of dwellings and commercial buildings.

One of the roles of the Community Response Team is to provide a proactive, team-based approach to resolving criminal, property maintenance, and public safety code violations within the City of Winchester, pursuant to the Code of Virginia, the City Code of the City, and the Winchester Zoning Ordinance, as part of an interdepartmental codes enforcement effort.
